We shipped Work-Life Services a while back but never officially announced it. Consider that fixed.

What's new
Work-life services are practical support services, from childcare and eldercare to legal and financial help, offered as part of an employee assistance program (EAP) or a modern mental health solution. They're now live in the Kyan Care app, alongside counselling, coaching, self-care resources, and crisis support, giving employees help across six areas of everyday life:
Family & Care:Â childcare, eldercare, education and tutoring, pet care, and adoption support
Health & Wellbeing:Â health and wellness services and nutrition guidance
Legal Support:Â professional help for personal and family legal matters
Financial Support:Â guidance on managing, protecting, and growing finances
Home & Living:Â daily home services, housing, and relocation support
Mediation:Â confidential support for resolving family, workplace, or personal conflicts

Why work-life support belongs in your EAP
A babysitter to find for next week. A legal question that keeps getting pushed aside. A parent who needs more help at home than they used to. These aren't mental health problems yet. But left unsolved, that's often where they end up, quietly turning into stress, distraction, and absence. Work-life stress is one of the top reasons people reach an EAP, yet most programs leave them to figure it out alone. So we built the missing piece.
How it works
Describe. In the mobile or desktop version of the Kyan Care app, employees pick a category and describe what they need, in their own words.

Match. An AI-enhanced search of our database surfaces the five best-fit local providers, with summaries, languages, and contact details.

Connect. Employees reach out to the provider directly, or ask Kyan to help arrange contact.

Not finding a fit? A human Care Consultant steps in, so employees can connect with the right provider in under 24 hours.

Why it matters for companies
Work-life stressors are among the most common reasons employees seek EAP support, yet they're the area where traditional programs deliver the least. Giving people a fast, dignified way to solve everyday problems does two things: it removes a quiet drain on focus and attendance, and it gives employees a reason to open the app before a crisis, which is exactly when an EAP should earn its keep.
It also changes how your benefit is perceived: not a phone number for bad days, but a tool for everyday life.
Available now

Frequently Asked Questions
Can employees use an EAP for legal problems?
Yes, for personal legal matters. Through Kyan Health's Work-Life Services, employees describe their situation in the Kyan Care app and get matched with local legal providers for issues like housing, contracts, and family law.
Why do work-life services in traditional EAPs go unused?
Because they're hard to use. Traditional EAPs deliver work-life support through call centers and generic referral lists, so employees phone a hotline and wait days for a list that may not fit. Kyan Health replaced that model: employees describe what they need in the Kyan Care app, in their own words, and a thorough database search returns the five best-fit local providers immediately.
How fast can an employee get help?
Provider recommendations are instant: employees describe what they need in the Kyan Care app, and AI-enhanced search of our database surfaces the five best-fit local providers, with summaries, languages, and contact details. Employees contact their chosen provider directly, or ask Kyan to arrange contact for them. In case none of the provider recommendation fits, a human Care Consultant helps find the right one. This usually takes up to 24 hours.
