The challenge
Going beyond educational intranet resources
At the end of 2022, employees at Deutsche Börse Group were still navigating the long-term effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. For many, this meant coping with high stress and persistent feelings of isolation.
The company offered a broad wellbeing program with resources on the intranet covering physical, financial, social, and some aspects of mental wellbeing. While helpful for raising awareness and psychoeducation, these resources were not sufficient to meet the diverse needs of thousands of employees spread across three continents.
For Deutsche Börse Group, one thing became clear: employees needed more than information. They needed confidential, multilingual, and easily accessible mental health care from a trusted provider.
The solution
Introducing Kyan Health’s evidence-based platform
In early 2023, Deutsche Börse Group launched Kyan Health's platform to a part of their workforce.
Employees gained access to confidential therapy and coaching in 40+ languages via video, voice, and async text. They also received unlimited access to a library of expert resources featuring exercises, videos, and meditations developed by mental health professionals. The solution quickly resonated, with almost 100% of surveyed employees saying they would recommend Kyan to a colleague.
Following the successful launch, the platform was rolled out company-wide in Q1 2024, reaching over 7,000 employees and their family members. To make this possible, Deutsche Börse Group's global CHRO and executive leaders were supported closely by Kyan Health.
The outcome
Better support, increased employee wellbeing
Since launch, Deutsche Börse Group has seen strong global engagement across its global workforce with the Kyan Health platform, with usage consistently above 20%. To date, employees and their families have already received over 285,000 minutes of preventive wellbeing care.
Most importantly, leaders now have access to Kyan's Dashboard, which, alongside usage data, provides insights into key indicators of work wellbeing, including employee happiness, purpose, satisfaction, and stress-free living. This gives leaders a clear view of how their teams are doing, allows comparisons across countries, and highlights areas where additional support is needed.
In addition, the partnership has also expanded to include Kyan Academy workshops and e-learning programs on topics such as productivity, workplace conflict management, time management, and psychological safety—empowering teams, managers, and leaders alike.
